Furnaces From 300 Kg To 30 M Ton
FURNACE STRUCTURE & SHUNTS: Rolled steel sections are welded to form hydraulic tilt structure. Shunts are bolted to steel columns centralize the coil, which in turn supports the refractory. Shunts are designed to avoid heating of the other steel parts, reduce stray losses and improve efficiency.
FURNACE COIL: Heavy extruded Rectangular Copper section Coil is designed on computer for extra efficiency, strength & rigidity. Studs brazed to coil are bolted to vertical supports to guard against vibrations & refractory expansion. High voltage insulation on coil avoids inter-turn sparking. Spacers are used to maintain the inter-turn gap.
COOLING COILS: The top & bottom cooling coils made up of stainless steel evenly cool the refractory to minimizing its cracking, spalling & overheating.
MAGNETIC SHIELD: Thick faraday shield is used at the bottom to avoid the bottom overheating. Cooled copper ring at the top reduces stray losses in the top structure.
FREE BOARD: 10 - 20% free board above the coil assists furnace charging without effecting the stirring pattern.
Furnaces From 30 Kg To 4 M Ton
Rigid construction using S.S. plates & high efficiency coil from high conductivity copper make low cost furnaces in the range from 30 Kgs to 4 MT.
Optimally designed coil is supported at four or more places using high strength fiber glass struts and stainless steel tie rods to prevent any movement. Fiber glass taped & Epoxy coated coil rest on precast refractory bottom & it is easily accessed by removing the front/back covers. Precast top of low cement castable refractory, Aluminium plates and stainless tie rods make a rigid structure which is lifted hydraulically up to 95 degree to empty the furnace.
